Sweet & Bitter Fancy

Our 50th Anniversary production, "Sweet and Bitter Fancy - A Celebration of Shakespeare and Theatre" attracted audiences that included many former members of the club.

The opening night was attended by five members of the original committee
from 1952. They were impressed with the range of ages and experience in the
cast - a sign that our club has certainly changed over the past 50 years.

Director, Lois Paynter, wants to extend her thanks to all involved,
especially Jocelyn McQuaid for her work in the wardrobe, Ann Jenkin for her
wardrobe work and for making our 50th Anniversary cake, and the Waite
double-act - Grahame as Stage Manager and Lizzie as lighting operator.

The Committee would like to thank Lois, her cast and crew for all their hard
work, and for providing us with a memorable and fitting celebration in our
50th year.
